Auckland naval base diesel spill is much smaller than feared
Submitted by Praneet Kessani on Wed, 05/04/2016 - 03:07Officials have said that the recent diesel spill at Devonport Naval Base in Auckland is much smaller than 30,000 litres suspected by some.
The authorities had called Fire Service, Auckland Council staff and Navy personnel to investigate the oil spill and they said that the diesel spilled is believed to be less than 100 litres of diesel and not 30,000 litres as expected earlier. The emergency officials were called to the site this morning for investigating the spill.

After a jump of 10 cents in gas prices last week in South Florida, the same trend is expected to continue even this week.
The rise in oil prices is mainly attributed to higher demand for gasoline says AAA. Even the crude oil prices jumped for three consecutive weeks.
