McDonald’s Testing ‘Gilroy Garlic Fries’ in a Small Test Market in the U.SMcDonald's has tried many new ways to gain back its customers. This time its Gilroy garlic fries.

The burger chain is making its own version of the snack. These French fries will be a made to order menu, where the fries will be tossed with a garlic mix from Gilroy, salt, parmesan cheese, olive oil and parsley. However, the chain is not making it available right now at all locations and is trying out a small test market. Currently they are available at four locations in the south bay. Three McDonald's in San Jose and one more in Santa Clara.

In case it proves to be a big hit with the customers, McDonald's plans to make it available at almost two fifty of its restaurants all over the Bay Area.

Nick Vergis, the chain's Co-op President, San Francisco Bay Area said, "The response from our customers has been very positive."

McDonald's French fries are one of the most cherished menus and they are made from potatoes grown in North-America. The Gilroy Garlic Fries will have garlic grown at the Christopher Ranch in Gilroy. It's a family owned, garlic production operation and the biggest in the U.S.

Chef Michael Haracz, Manager of Culinary Innovation at McDonald's USA said, "We're proud of the work done by local franchisees and the regional team to create this menu item with locally-sourced garlic and we look forward to introducing Gilroy Garlic Fries to our customers in the Bay Area."
