Most of the Twenty Five Highest Paying Companies in the U.S. are Consulting and Technology Firms

The data was gathered based on figures reported anonymously by employees.
The notion that earning a six figure annually is easier at the technology or consulting sector than the others, proved to be true if one goes by the list presented by Glassdoor Inc.
Citrix Systems Report Better Than Expected First Quarter Earnings

The software company, providing desktop virtualization, networking, server, application, software service, and cloud computing reported its earnings after the markets closed. The Florida based company said its adjusted earnings in the first quarter increased eighty one percent to $1.18 per share compared to expectation of 92 cents.
Quarterly Revenue of VMware Inc Surpass Expectations; Company Announced Stock Buy Back Program

It was mostly helped by sturdy sales of the company's newer virtualization software. The company said it will buy back $1.2 billion Class A stock in 2016.
VMware, based in Palo Alto, California was struggling on several fronts and its hopes that its new products will work out to balance drop in demands for the traditional server-virtualization software seems to have been answered well.
Apex and PAG Asia Led Consortium Acquiring Lexmark for $3.6 Billion
Submitted by Apoorva Prasad on Wed, 04/20/2016 - 08:38Lexmark International Inc. headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, agreed to be bought by an Apex Technology Co. and PAG Asia Capital led consortium. The deal for the laser printer maker is valued at $3.6 billion.
It's an all cash deal and will pay $40.50 per Lexmark share. The investment will be financed through equity contributions coming from the consortium of buyers and debt financing. One of the members in the consortium is Legend Capital Management Co.
Nice! Peaches and Mixed Fruit Products Recalled Over Concerns of Presence of Glass Particles

The recalled products may have glass pieces present in them and a company statement said, "Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if ingested." It's a nationwide recall and the brand was sold in Walgreens stores.
Gas Prices Rise in Connecticut but Still Cheaper than Last Year

Survey of two hundred and twenty nine gas stations by GasBuddy in the New Haven area showed that gas prices scaled 7.2 cents a gallon in the last week. With that, the mean gas price in the New Haven area lingered around $2.21 cents a gallon. Compared to the national average, the price is 10 cents a gallon more. In the last week it increased 6.9 cents a gallon.
