In New Zealand Farm Dairy Farm Prices Slipped in the March Quarter

Real Estate Institute of New Zealand said that the price of dairy farms continued to drop in the first quarter of 2016.

According to the institute, average sales price per hectare for dairy farms dropped to $33,897 when compared to $36,687 in the three months till Feb and $37,761 in the March quarter, last year. The institute said the average dairy farm size in the March quarter was 121 hectares.

The Dairy Farm Price index scaled 4.3 percent in the March quarter but slipped 15.9 per cent when compared to the same period one year ago.
