Wendy's scraps plans to serve alcohol at an outlet in Christchurch

Wendy's fast food chain has indicated that it has scrapped plans to serve alcohol at one of its outlet in the city of Christchurch in New Zealand.

Wendy's fast food outlet was planning to serve beers with its burgers at the outlet. The outlet located in Hornby had applied for a licence in October 2015 but the move had attracted a lot of public criticism. If the outlet started serving alcohol, it would have been the first attempt by a fast-food chain in New Zealand to serve alcohol in its premises.
