Fossil Group Inc., the retailer of fashion accessories reported sales and profit figures for the third quarter that surpassed the expectation of the analysts.

The increased profits are attributed mainly to the brawny sales of its watches and jewellery. In extended trading the company's shares were up by 18.5 percent.

Metro Performance Glass opened the session on a positive note on the listing day. The company sold the stock at $NZ1.7 during the recently concluded initial public offer. The stock listed at the New Zealand stock exchange at $1.75.
 

Official data from Chinese State Agency on Sunday revealed that the manufacturing activities in China grew at the highest rate over the five months in May as new orders grew rapidly. The new data supports the idea that the second-largest economy in the world is picking up momentum in the second quarter after Beijing targeted specific measures to strengthen growth.

On Thursday, Google Now Launcher - which was thus far limited only to the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 Android devices - hit the Google Play Store for free download. The Play Store release of the Google Now Launcher implies that users of older Nexus devices will now be able to update the launcher.
