Target's new restroom policy of allowing transgender people to use the bathroom that they identify themselves with, is sending waves across the country. The reaction is mixed. American Family Association an anti-LGBT group said it is "testing" Target's bathroom policy.

Target plans to offer its customers more gender neutral shopping experience especially in the kid's section giving it an absolute image turn over. Target last year already organized gender-free labeling of toys and bedding areas.

The chain's new kids' home decor line Pillowfort will offer a more gender fluid look.

Last fall, Target Corporation grabbed attention after doing away with the 'boys' and 'girls' sign from the kids' bedding aisle. Target said the move was taken in response to feedback they received from the customers.

Shoppers in the U. S who wait for attractive deals and want to avoid the holiday rush look for deals on Cyber Monday. But, this year many of them faced tech snags, product sellouts and massive on line traffic which forced them to queue up in a virtual line.

At a time when many of the retailers are questioning the practicality of keeping their shops open on Thanksgiving because it means paying more to the employees, Target announced that it would open at 6 p. m. on the day. It's the same time as it opened last year.

On Monday, Tina Tyler, Target's head of stores said, "It just really felt like a sweet spot,"

To maintain pace with the competition, Target has cut down the limit of its minimum order online to be eligible for free shipping. The new limit is $25, almost half of the previous minimum purchase required for free shipping.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and American Banker have revealed in their recently-published stories that the computer security staff of bigwig retailer Target had warned the company of security vulnerabilities in its payment card system well ahead of the massive data breach in December 2013.
