Earthquake Severely Damaged Honda Plant in Japan

The recent earthquake has rigorously damaged the Honda assembly plant and research and development center in Tochigi, Japan. About 30 employees were found to be injured in areas of the plant but only one case of death was reported. The Tochigi plant and tow more Honda plants have been temporarily closed.
Honda NZ boss says that the company is fine

Honda New Zealand boss Graeme Seymour has insisted that even though the number of vehicles sold by the company is lesser this year, it is still in perfectly sound financial shape.
Data given by the Motor Industry Association has shown that this year in October, the company was able to sell just 125 new Honda cars. That is the worst figures that it has seen in the last few years.
Honda to Recall 428,000 Vehicles in N. America

Honda Motor Co has informed that it has decided to recall more than 428,000 vehicles in US and Canada. After Toyota, it will be another chapter of disaster of another leading auto maker worldwide. As per the company officials, the decision had been taken for the safety of the vehicles at the time of parking.
Striking workers at Honda factory in China return to work

According to the information forwarded by the workers, there were severe shortages of staff at the factory - before the strike commenced on Wednesday – due to the reason that there had been no increase in wages.
Honda recalls thousands of cars from Brazil

The Japanese motor company, Honda Motor Co. (HMC) has announced to recall over 186,000 car models sold in the Brazil market from 2003 to 2008 following reports of defect in the window switches. This defect can lead to fire, endangering the life of the driver and the accompanists. The firm had also made similar announcement in Japan on January 29 and recalled defected cars from the market.
