On Thursday, MidAmerican Energy took a huge leap towards meeting the power needs of its customers with greener energy like wind and solar power. It announced investment of $3.6 billion with which Des Moines, Iowa's largest utility, MidAmerican would get eighty five percent of its energy from wind. At the event the company's CEO Bill Fehrman was present with Governor Terry Branstad and Debi Durham, Iowa's economic development director.

Fehrman said, "We have a dream to deliver 100 percent renewable energy to our customers."
