American Auto Association says this year is set to be one of the busiest holiday travel season ever and the credit could go straight to the drop in gas prices to record lows.
With the national average price of gas below $2 per gallon people are travelling more. The price is lowest since 2009.

The United Auto Workers union agreed to extend its 2011 contract with General Motors Co. till November 20. The leaders of the union still continue to talk to the company regarding the issue of the skilled trades, said a letter on Friday forwarded by the UAW-GM local union presidents and chairpersons. The UAW leaders are trying their best to get the tentative four-year labor agreement ratified.

On Friday, the UAW (United Auto Workers) union reached a provisional contract agreement with Ford. It's the same day when GM workers also voted in favoring a similar four-year agreement.
However, official GM agreement ratification was delayed as even though the deal got approval in general but the skilled trades like electricians and the pipe fitters did not agree to it.

Late on Wednesday, it appeared that a provisional four-year agreement between the UAW (United Auto Workers) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is heading towards ratification, as greater than half of the votes supported the contract. However, a concrete result is not expected until Thursday as the Union leaders continue tallying the votes.
